Finding a place to stay on the East End of Long Island is a challenge for many, no matter what time of year. White Fences Inn is one of the few bed and breakfasts in the area, and it is one of the most luxurious and convenient inns on the East End. The innkeepers, Eric and Liz Brodar, are experienced hosts who owned an award-winning inn in Kennebunk, Maine. Both of them are in love with the hospitality business; they both come from a sales background. They enjoy meeting new people, getting to know them and interacting with them.
“We have been in the corporate world for over 30 years, and one day we came up with this idea to open up a B&B. We bought our first one in Kennebunk, Maine. We stayed there for four years, and we really loved the business, but we missed New York. That is what brought us home, and fortunately, this property, which we had looked at before we moved to Maine was still available,” said Liz.
White Fences Inn is ideally situated in Water Mill between Southampton and Bridgehampton towns, and it has become of one of the most desirable locations in the Hamptons, as it is closer to the city than East Hampton or Montauk.
“We liked the location because of the visibility on Montauk Highway. We are next to the museum, and there is a wellness center opening up in the fall right next to us. We are very happy where we are,” said Liz.
As location plays a big part in the business game, it is also important to stay updated, whether it is with photographs of the business, snapshots of the accommodations, or presentations of the stylish new furniture. When I first saw White Fences Inn online, I was utterly impressed with their photographs and updated interior design.
“You have to stay updated and give your guests the best. It is vital for your business,” said Liz.
Next time you are looking for a place to stay in The Hamptons look no further. Liz and Eric have chosen this property in Water Mill to bring their gracious, warm hospitality to The Hamptons and provide a memorable bed and breakfast stay experience at their newly refreshed property.
